Speech Language Pathologists provide screening, evaluation, treatment and counseling for a variety of communication disorders including delayed language, articulation, voice, stuttering and aphasia, as well as swallowing problems. These problems can be associated with: improper learning pattern, inadequate speech and language models in the environment, cleft palate or lips, hearing loss, cerebral palsy, development delays, oral cancers, vocal abuse, stroke, head injuries, and neuromuscular disorders.
